How does the dormant spore of clostridium tetani become active?

Im doing a project on tetanus and i know what the bacteria produces and what conditions it produces it in.. but i don't know how the dormant spore becomes active or how long this process takes please help.How does the dormant spore of clostridium tetani become active?
Reactivation of dormant spores occurs in favorable conditions, e.g. when a spore of Clostridium tetani enters an open wound/deep lesion. Here it finds exactly that environment, it likes most, anaerobic with sufficient nutrients, suitable temperature, humidity etc, and the spore starts to germinate.

As soon as germination begins, metabolism is activated and toxins are produced.
