In the game Spore, how do you play music in the tribal stage?
Ok so I just got the video game Spore a few days ago, and I'm obsessed... But stuck. I am in the tribal stage, and trying to play music for another tribe. I bought the instrument, and all of my team is equipped with the instruments, but I don't know how to play it when I go to other tribes! The Game is not over, but you just beat the hardest part of it. Afterwords, you arent able to go back to the center, put you can still play. You get the staff of life and the award '42'.

How do I start everything over on Spore?
I don't really want to lose any of the things I unlocked such as access to ship creator, and creature creator. But I destroyed every planet in Sol, and when I played on another planet, I found out that Sol was destroyed in my game, not just an individual planet. I have an account on Spore, but I don't want to uninstall it, because then i'll lose all my creations and everything.

This has a serious "counter-indication" / or downside, which is that the other local races typically ALL start out at "newbie" level, as well as your Race #2, if you gift them with just one or two worlds (T3, with all the trimmings), the other races scramble to catch up, naturally - since this can post quite a problem.
With Race #2's "neighbors" colonizing as fast as they can, I recommend getting a few systems close in with a variety of spices, that have the best mix of all of the spices, and then let the neighbors have the rest - for the moment) Don't get overly generous towards Race #2, they still have to learn to terraform and do the basics but it DEFINITELY speeds the process up when you do it right.
Think of it - a little bit like a Type 0 Civilization being helped by a Type 2 civilization.

I'm going to go ahead and say that that certain part of the disk was damaged after you had progressed past that point on the last save file. Take it out and run some cool water over it, and wipe it with an eyeglass cloth(never with a paper towel or napkin) and when you do, start at the center of the disk and pull out toward the edge. They say rub around the rings, but the up/down(1, 0) pattern goes around there, and you can damage it.

Yes, but it is not a "game over" scenario. If your civilization is destroyed you are time-warped back to your last save point and allowed to try again.
Also, you can have as many civilizations as there are colonization universes available (and there are always six ready and waiting to be colonized).

I downloaded Spore over the weekend and thought it was weird how there was no executable for it on my harddrive. Every time I tried to play it I'd have to open the EA download manager. How do you get wings on Spore?
I just bought Spore and have played through to the civilazation stage, but I keep going back to creature stage because i like to customize. But Ive looked everywhere and have gotten everything but there are no wings. I have seen other creatures that have wings that have been created by other people though. Wings are located on the bottom row of the details page, that's the page of parts furthest on the right. The wings don't look like wings until they are on your creature, they look more like fins on the parts page.
Earn the wings just takes persistence, since each creature phase is randomly generated. Dig up every skeleton you see, and charm/kill every nest and you should earn them eventually. Charm/kill the Alpha of each nest first or second to earn an extra part!

I would like to know how one can identify a mushroom by it's spore print. Such as the color by which I have read so far somewhat narrows it down and how I can identify a mushroom by looking at its spores maginified by a microscope to narrow it down to one type of mushroom? I'm not aware of any spore print chart is available, but what you need to do is get a mushroom field guide that covers the region you live in, and make sure it has a dichotomous key in it. You don't want the kind where you are just trying to match a picture to the mushroom in front of you.

I bought and played spore when it first came out, and i got to the space stage. I was disappointed at the little there was to do in space. It seemed very limited to me. You couldn't destroy suns or gas giants, and couldn't find miscellaneous things in space like comets and stuff like that which was shown in the original guide.
My question is what new updates have come out and what have they done to the game that is different and possibly made it more fun. Also are there any coming out in the near future that look to improve the game?What is different now about spore than when it first came out?

How can you make a Colony have a port in Spore?
I have spore and the only I can make my colonies have ships is if I conquer/buy up another system where the original inhabitants have a city with a port. How can I make my colonies that I placed have ports? If I place it close to water, it will automatically terraform the land near it to a flat surface.How can you make a Colony have a port in Spore?
Unfortunately as of right now you can't. The problem is that when you put a colony - even right beside the water - it levels the ground. I tried searching for this same thing a couple of days ago. Some people said you could try sculpting tools - I did. I tried everything, but it seems - if not impossible - really hard to do so. Unfortunately as of right now you can't. The problem is that when you put a colony - even right beside the water - it levels the ground. I tried searching for this same thing a couple of days ago. Some people said you could try sculpting tools - I did. I tried everything, but it seems - if not impossible - really hard to do so. if you don't meet the minimum requirements for a game, you can't play it. if your graphics card isn't up to par, get a new one, they are not that expensive (for a decent one anyway, great graphics cards can be alot of money, but you don't need to great of one for sims).

Why is the font so small when I play Spore on Windows 7?
I have the same computer - all I've done is upgrade from vista to windows 7. Now, the font in Spore is soooo small! And when I try to make the resolution smaller (and hopefully make the text bigger, the game will have a black frame around it - it won't stretch to the full size of the screen. I believe your PC has built in video. You'll need to disable it and add a new card. One that supports pixel shading 2.0. The fact that your PC tops out at 1gb of RAM, don't expect too much.

My PC game, SPORE, freezes when trying to start a game, how can I fix this?
When I play SPORE, the game always freezes when trying to create a game in any of the stages. Usually right when I click on the mode I want to play. My video card, memory, MB RAM all match up to the system requirements. Is there anyway I can stop this from happening? Any tips?

You'll definitely need more than two units. If you get a bunch of land vehicles over, I would recommend first taking out the turrets so they don't kill you while you convert the other town. For religious conversion, the people have to get really unhappy. Things are much faster with more units. Also, be sure in your vehicle builder, you've maxed out your religious power as much as you can afford to (you'll still need some speed and health). This will also make conversion faster.
Converting a city depends on your unit design. If you set enough religious items on a vehicle you COULD in theory convert a city with 2 units. However, you should be using quite a bit more.

I've been getting really exited about the new game Spore. It seemed pretty cool. Then I started reading reviews about the game and it seemed a lot of people thought it wasn't all it appeared to be. Though most agreed it was good for creative people. I consider myself fairly creative and view the game play as secondary. What I'd like to know is is this video game good for someone like me with these standards. In short, yes, the game is good whether you are creative or not.
In a bit more detail... there's five parts to the game:
Cell, which is basically a mini game, very little customization, but simple fun. You either eat other creatures and floating meaty bits, or eat plant life depending on your choice at the start.
Creature, which is arguably one of the most enjoyable parts of the game. It's short, but this is the main part of the game where you can change the way your creature evolves. You can either run around killing stuff, or socialize with the other creatures to get past this stage.
Tribal, which is simple real time strategy game. You control several of your creatures to either do battle with other tribes (of different creatures) or to impress them enough that they become your allies. You can customize the clothing of your creature during this stage.
Civilization, which again, is real time strategy but a little different. You control land, sea and air vehicles (which you can develop and customize), in an effort to either destroy, buy or convert the other sides on the planet. You can also customize the buildings in your cities and further customize the clothes on your creatures.
Space, which is the largest and most detailed part of the game. Everything (except your creature) can be further customized here, like clothes, vehicles, etc. You also develop your own space vehicle which is used to fly from planet to planet, interacting with other species around the galaxy.
It's a good game, you can make a massive variety of creatures with very little limitations, and I'm sure eventually there will be mods of some sort to bypass these. But til then, there's plenty to do.
Now up until now I've been pointing out the good parts, but I thought I should point out a few flaws just so you know exactly what to expect.
First, don't expect the game to be as good as it was hyped up to be, it isn't. While it is a good quality game, there's still a lot that could be improved (such as extending the creature, tribe and civ stages).
Second, the cell, tribal and civ stages are very short and incredibly simple in terms of game play. While the creature stage is short, it can be dragged out through the collection of parts and achievements, making it a fair bit longer than the three stages listed above.
Third, while the space stage is the largest and most detailed part of the game, it isn't all it's cracked up to be. While the other species have multiple ships in their service across all their planets, your species has... one. You. Sure, you can recruit more ships to follow you around as you gain ranks, but it's limited. As your empire grows larger, it sometimes becomes frustrating having to maintain your empire, whether it be defending them from pirates or saving them from an eco disaster.
All in all, if you're not -too- concerned about the game play (which is more than passable), you can spend hours on end experimenting with your creatures, while having a good time doing it.

I'd have to say that both people are correct. the people who say it wasnt as good and the people who said it was. i say this because th people who liked it were fans of it from the beginning and simply looked over it's flaws as the people who were unsure played it just to look at what was wrong with it. if you were to get the game, you'ld probably benefit from looking at the hype as opposed to the negatives so you can sway your opinion to getting it. in my opinion, it is a great game, with great ideas, just portrayed as some people did and some did not approve of.

You need to abduct several samples of plants and animals from other planets, then beam them down onto your planet. Make sure you place the plants down first, then herbivores, then carnivores/omnivores.

I mean, entirely. Not just a new creature but achievements (biggy for me), delete past creatures/buildings/ect. (I know how to do this but they still show up in my games...), levels, ect.

there are look-alikes. the blue spores are a good sigh though. if i Had a better description i could tell you if they were good. there are some poisonous look alikes though so watch out!. and did you find them or buy them?

For clarification, "blue spores" is an incorrect description. Psilocin mushrooms bruise blue, while dropping black-to-brown spores by leaving the caps of the mushroom on a flat surface. This is called spore printing.

Can the biologist, botanist, or biology major . . . please help explain or outline or list in order the structures containing the term "spore" according to most plant life cycles. for gymnosperms to angiosperms.

In the game spore, I got stuck in the civilisation stage. All the other cities were taken over by the 'red' enemy. Now I am in a delicate balance where he's not my enemy and not my friend. Yes, you can hack. I know because I did it. The thing is that the editor is EXTREMELY buggy. I mean - they told me it was buggy, but I thought it was a minor thing. Ok in spore im trying to perform and befriend other tribes. It says i need to right click on a tribe member, to perform for them and then play the button combination. I can give them food gifts but thats it. I cant do anything else it just shows the bar of how much they like me and theres no button combination. then select two or more tribe members (it's more effective) to each shed and let them take a instrument(if they picked up the instrument,there will be an icon next to their stats
take your tribe members and the chief to the other village, start the process. when the others request an instrument, click the corresponding button (it's green, near the bottom, next to the red attack buttons)
