My brother recently bought Spore and I was thinking of buying him the Creepy %26amp; Cute Parts extension pack for his birthday. But I've heard (and he was saying how) you can download free patches from the game makers which also give you extra things...
My question is does the Extension Pack give you anything extra that you can't just download for free?

yes, the patches don't give you what the expansion pack gives.
